What is the difference between Executive and Non Executive Directors

Non-executive Directors only attend periodic board meetings in an advisory capacity and are not involved in the day to day running of the company. They are only paid for the meetings that they attend. They are appointed using the same method with CIPC as CIPC does differentiate between executive and non-executive directors. When you register your Directors with us, we do not ask which are executive and which are not. This is something to be decided within your own company
